Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas joins international economy diploma
The Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas (UAT), through its Center for Innovation and Knowledge Transfer (CINOTAM), is participating in the 2026 Inter-institutional Diploma in Social and Solidarity Economy (ESS). This strategic collaboration involves several prominent institutions, including the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM), the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN), the Instituto Nacional de la Economía Social (INAES), and the Tamaulipas State Secretariat of Economy.
The program, which runs from September 28 to December 9, 2026, consists of 100 hours of training combining real-time theoretical sessions with independent online work. It aims to strengthen theoretical, methodological, and practical competencies to promote economic alternatives based on cooperation, collective participation, governance, and sustainability.
The initiative has attracted over 300 participants from various regions of Mexico and six other countries in the Americas. As part of the program, UAT will lead Module 3, titled ‘Identification, Formulation, and Evaluation of Social and Solidarity Economy Projects,’ in coordination with the state's economic authorities.
