Mexican universities report academic advancements and international collaborations

Various Mexican academic institutions are reporting significant developments in research, international cooperation, and community engagement.

At the Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas (UAT), researcher Dr. Edgardo Jonathan Suárez Domínguez received the 2026 State Innovation Award for his work in sustainable construction and energy technology. Additionally, UAT Rector Dámaso Anaya Alvarado participated in the 7th Mexico-Japan Rector Summit at the University of Tsukuba, focusing on social infrastructure and renewable energy. UAT also announced its 2026 Book Fair in Tampico, scheduled for late October.

The Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila (UAdeC) conducted a working tour through its Laguna Unit, where Rector Octavio Pimentel Martínez inaugurated new facilities and delivered technological equipment to various faculties, including Law and Nursing.
