Uavision to invest 5 million euros in Viseu for aeronautical project

Uavision, an aerospace company based in Torres Vedras, has announced an investment of up to 5 million euros over three years in Viseu, Portugal. The project aims to develop High Altitude Pseudo-Satellite (HAPS) technology, an innovative unmanned aeronautical system.

The total global project investment is estimated at approximately 10 million euros. In Viseu, the company plans to establish operations at the Gonçalves Lobato Municipal Aerodrome. The first phase involves constructing a 2,000-square-meter hangar, with an initial investment of 2 million euros in the first year.

Founder and administrator Nuno Simões stated that the initiative focuses on local workforce training, collaborating with institutions such as Instituto Piaget to adapt and prepare workers for the specialized sector. The project is expected to initially create between 10 and 20 jobs, with potential for expansion as operations grow.
