Ubatuba barbershop owner and customer shot dead

Two people were shot and killed inside a barbershop in the Sertão da Quina neighborhood of Ubatuba, on the northern coast of São Paulo, on Thursday night.

The victims have been identified as 25-year-old shop owner Douglas Gustavo Moura do Sacramento and 20-year-old Kauê Santos de Almeida. According to police reports, Almeida was apparently receiving services at the establishment when he was struck by gunfire. Sacramento was transported by SAMU to the Maranduba UPA but died from his injuries.

Investigators found several shell casings and projectiles at the scene. Authorities have seized two mobile phones and are reviewing nearby security camera footage to help determine the dynamics of the crime. The Civil Police have opened an inquiry to identify the perpetrator(s), though the motive remains unknown.
