Ubatuba launches first socioterritorial social assistance diagnosis

The Ubatuba Social Assistance Secretariat has launched its first Socioterritorial Diagnosis to map the vulnerabilities and living conditions of the local population. Coordinated by Socio-assistance Surveillance, the initiative involves at least 10 social assistance facilities, including the Specialized Social Assistance Reference Center (CREAS) and the Social Assistance Reference Center (CRAS).

The diagnosis serves as a technical research and analysis tool to support the planning, management, and evaluation of public policies within the Unified Social Assistance System (SUAS). The project aims to identify available services, unmet demands, situations of vulnerability, violence, and rights violations.

Social Assistance Secretary Silvia Issa stated that the diagnosis will allow the municipality to make informed decisions, prioritize needs, and ensure efficient budget allocation. Ten meetings are scheduled throughout August and September to incorporate perspectives from both workers and beneficiaries. A final report is expected to be published and presented in December.
