Ubatuba Pro Surf 2026 begins at Praia Grande
The Ubatuba Pro Surf 2026 municipal circuit has commenced with its first stage at Praia Grande. Approximately 200 athletes are participating in the three-day event, which features a wide range of age groups, from the Petit category (under 10) to the Highlander category (60+).
This competition serves as a key event for maintaining surfing traditions in Ubatuba and provides a platform for both emerging young talent and experienced veteran surfers. The current stage at Praia Grande marks the beginning of a seasonal calendar that includes upcoming competitions in Itamambuca in October and Praia Vermelha do Centro in November.
Cleiton Félix, president of the Ubatuba Surf Association (AUS), noted that the high level of participation demonstrates the strength of the local surfing community. Additionally, the circuit is designed to support the development of local athletes by providing competitive experience to younger participants.
