Ubatuba proposes improved signaling for SP-125 highway
The Ubatuba City Hall has presented proposals to the Department of Highways of the State of São Paulo (DER-SP) to enhance signaling on the Oswaldo Cruz Highway (SP-125). The discussions, held in Taubaté, specifically target the mountain stretch leading toward Ubatuba to improve road safety during high-traffic periods such as weekends and holidays.
Proposed measures include the installation of overhead gantries between Ubatuba and São Luiz do Paraitinga, as well as new signaling devices to provide drivers with real-time information regarding weather conditions, traffic status, and road quality. The initiative aims to help motorists better plan their trips and choose optimal travel times to avoid peak congestion levels heading toward the North Coast.
