Ubatuba secures play-in spot in Campeonato Paulista

The Ubatuba football team has secured a spot in the play-in stage of the Campeonato Paulista. Despite a 2-0 loss to São Bernardo in the final round of Group B, Ubatuba finished the first phase in 8th place overall with seven points.

The play-in stage will include teams that finished between 5th and 12th place in the general standings. While Barão de Mauá and São Bernardo have already guaranteed direct entry into the third phase, Ubatuba must now prepare for the upcoming knockout opportunities.

Coach Wagner Richard noted that while the team hoped for a better result against São Bernardo, achieving qualification was a primary objective. Matchups for the next phase are expected to be defined following the conclusion of Group A matches.
