Ubatuba students participate in heritage preservation project
Students from Escola Municipal João Alexandre participated in a visit to tourist sites in Ubatuba as part of the ‘Turismo nas Escolas’ project. The initiative aims to use education as a tool for tourism awareness, encouraging students to connect with their city and understand the importance of preserving its historical, cultural, social, and environmental heritage.
Marco Reale, the chief of staff for Education, noted that while the visit proceeded, unfavorable weather conditions required some adjustments to the original schedule. The project seeks to transform classroom knowledge into practical experiences, fostering a sense of belonging and helping students recognize the value of the local assets that form the municipality's identity.
