Ubatuba swimming team wins 48 medals at regional tournament

The Ubatuba municipal swimming team secured 48 medals at the Regional Petiz to Senior Tournament organized by the São Paulo Aquatic Federation. The event took place at the Associação Esportiva São José in São José dos Campos, featuring 319 swimmers from 14 different entities.

Represented by 25 athletes, the Ubatuba team earned 17 gold, 12 silver, and 19 bronze medals across various categories and distances. Notable individual performances included Felipe L. Fagnani and Júlia Cristine de Soares Lima, who each secured three gold medals. Other gold medalists included Andressa de Souza Alves, Richard Rodrigues dos Reis, Luciana Celestino dos Santos, Adrielle de Souza Alves, Joaquim Castro de Jesus, Joaquim Vicente de Souza Rego, Micaella de Souza Oliveira, and Theo Henrique de Oliveira Farah.

Coach Marcos Iacopi noted that the results serve as a positive start to the competitive season and provide a way to evaluate individual progress and training effectiveness ahead of future competitions.
