Ubatuba to host 2026 cycling race at Praia Vermelha do Norte

Ubatuba will host the 2026 Cidade de Ubatuba Cycling Race this Sunday, the 18th. The road competition will feature two distinct courses along the Rio-Santos Highway (BR-101), with both starting and ending at Praia Vermelha do Norte.

The longer 128-kilometer route will extend to the Paraty entrance roundabout in Rio de Janeiro before returning to the starting point. A shorter 78-kilometer course will turn back near the Cachoeira da Escada region. The event includes both male and female categories, featuring federated and non-federated athletes. Certain elite and youth categories are part of the National Ranking.

A technical congress with a presentation by the Federal Highway Police is scheduled for Saturday, the 17th, to discuss safety and competition dynamics.
