Ubatuba to host Surf Brazil Pro stage ahead of national championship
The Surf Brazil Pro will return to Itamambuca beach in Ubatuba from 18 to 26 July, marking the third of four stops on the 2026 national circuit organized by the Confederação Brasileira de Surf (CBSurf). More than 200 male and female competitors, including local leader Weslley Dantas, will contest the event, which will be streamed live on Surf Brazil TV and televised on regional channels.
The stage offers a total prize pool of R$ 500,000, split equally between men’s and women’s categories, with each victory worth R$ 50,000. CBSurf president Teco Padaratz emphasized the importance of the prize money for professional surfers facing sponsorship challenges. Local officials highlighted the event’s role in boosting Ubatuba’s tourism and reinforcing the city’s historic place in Brazilian surf culture.
