Ubatuba traffic officials seek training on electric vehicle regulation
The Ubatuba Traffic Directorate is working to enhance the technical expertise of its staff to better manage the increasing number of electric bicycles and motorcycles in the municipality. To address this, representatives from Ubatuba attended a specialized lecture in Taubaté focused on the regulation and circulation of self-propelled vehicles.
During the session, Civil Police Delegate Daniel Stefano discussed traffic-related crimes involving these vehicles. Additionally, Douglas Bonani from Detran-SP provided technical distinctions between electric bicycles, electric motorcycles, and standard motorcycles to ensure proper classification and enforcement.
Traffic Director Wagner Lopes Pego noted that the significant growth in electric vehicle use presents new challenges for local traffic organization and public safety, emphasizing the need for updated agent training to ensure correct guidance and inspection.
