Ubatuba's 17th Gastronomic Festival Extends to September

The 17th edition of the Ubatuba Gastronomic Festival, branded “Sabor Caiçara 2026,” will run through 13 September, following its opening fair held from 31 July to 2 August at Praça da Baleia. The opening attracted about 2,500 visitors daily, featuring cooking shows, cultural performances and local producers.

During the festival, visitors can sample dishes at participating restaurants, bars and cafés, vote in a popular recipe contest and watch a technical jury evaluate entries across 14 categories, including new “Meats” and “Most Creative Dish” sections. Organizers aim to exceed the previous edition’s 40 000 visitors and 18 000 dishes sold.

A training week for food‑service professionals is scheduled for 24‑28 August, covering management, pricing, service, marketing, sales and artificial‑intelligence tools, in partnership with the Ubatuba Commercial Association, Abrasel and Sebrae‑SP. The festival will conclude in September with a charity dinner and the announcement of the contest winners.
