Ubatuba's Lirinha symphonic band to hold open rehearsal

The Associação Lira Padre Anchieta is hosting an open rehearsal for the “Lirinha” symphonic band this Saturday, the 17th, at 10:00 AM. Held at the Ubatuba Tourism Secretariat, the event is part of the “Lira do Amanhã” project, which is linked to the Fundação de Arte e Cultura de Ubatuba (Fundart).

The project aims to train new musicians to join the association's musical groups and participate in events throughout the Vale do Paraíba and Litoral Norte metropolitan region. The band consists of advanced students from percussion, wind, and string workshops, with over 90 students currently participating in the musical programs.

In preparation for upcoming performances, the group is scheduled to hold a Gala Concert on November 17 at the Teatro Municipal “Pedro Paulo Teixeira Pinto,” featuring works such as Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture.” Additionally, the band will perform in Caraguatatuba on November 29 at the Hotel Atlântico Sul auditorium. Maestro Yuri Ribeiro noted that the pedagogical symphonic band is part of a revitalization of the Lira Padre Anchieta following recent resource allocations.
