Uber Eats driver attacks security guard at Barstool Sports HQ

An Uber Eats delivery driver was taken into custody following a physical altercation at the Barstool Sports headquarters in Midtown Manhattan on Monday afternoon.

According to Barstool founder Dave Portnoy, the incident began when a verbal dispute occurred in a hallway regarding a food order. When a security guard attempted to ask the delivery driver to leave the premises, the situation escalated into a physical brawl. Video footage shared by Portnoy shows the 31-year-old driver knocking the 45-year-old security guard to the ground and striking him multiple times in the face.

Three Barstool employees intervened to subdue the driver before calling 911. The NYPD confirmed they responded to the scene at the company’s Seventh Avenue office around 2 p.m. The security guard received medical treatment at the scene, and the NYPD has identified the driver as a “person of interest” as the investigation continues.
