Uber expands ‘Uber Mujeres’ feature to Argentina and Mexico

Uber is expanding its ‘Uber Mujeres’ feature, a service that allows passengers to request rides specifically with female drivers. The rollout is continuing across Latin America, including new availability in Resistencia, Argentina, and León, Mexico.

In Argentina, the service has already surpassed one million trips since its launch in May. The feature is available in several cities, including Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Rosario, and Mendoza. Users can utilize the service through immediate trips, reservations, or by setting a permanent preference for female drivers.

In Mexico, the expansion aims to bring the feature to 20 cities. Following its initial launch in Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Monterrey, the service is now being implemented in León. The platform offers three modes: immediate trips, scheduled reservations, and a preference setting to prioritize female drivers. For immediate trips, the service operates from 6:00 to 23:00, and users may be asked to confirm their gender within the app during their first use.
