Uber Freight expands European 4PL operations with new Poland hub
Uber Freight is expanding its fourth-party logistics (4PL) operations in Europe by establishing a new control tower and operational hub in Krakow, Poland. Scheduled to open in 2027, the facility will complement the company’s existing European operations based in the Netherlands.
The expansion follows a significant increase in 4PL business, with the company reporting that it doubled the number of new deals secured in Europe during 2025. To support this growth, Uber Freight is investing in dedicated product and engineering resources, including the development of its transportation management system (TMS).
As part of this strategic move, Mike Doucleff has been appointed as the head of Europe. The company is also targeting growth in the chemical sector, recently securing a contract with manufacturer OXEA to manage transportation across the USA, Canada, Mexico, and Europe, covering road freight, intermodal rail, and short-sea shipping.
