Uber integrates Zipcar to offer hourly car rentals

Uber is integrating Zipcar into its Uber Rent service, allowing users to make hourly car rental reservations directly through the Uber mobile application. The service supports rentals ranging from one hour to 14 days, with reservations available as early as one hour before a trip. Users can complete identity verification, booking, and payment within the Uber app without needing a separate Zipcar membership.

Zipcar on Uber Rent will be available in various cities across the United States and Canada, including major hubs such as New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, and Toronto. Additionally, Uber Rent is expanding its car delivery service to Nashville and Jacksonville, allowing vehicles to be delivered to homes, offices, or hotels.

Uber One members are eligible for ten percent Uber Cash back on all Uber Rent reservations, including Zipcar. The company is also offering an additional $20 in Uber credits to the first 1,500 Zipcar renters via the platform.
