Uber, Ola, Rapido, and Blinkit face service disruptions in India

Major ride-hailing and quick-commerce platforms, including Uber, Ola, Rapido, and Blinkit, experienced significant service disruptions across several Indian cities on Thursday, August 27.

The outage affected commuters during peak evening hours in cities such as Bengaluru, Delhi, Chennai, and Hyderabad. Users reported being unable to log into accounts, book rides, or view fare prices. On the quick-commerce platform Blinkit, users faced difficulties placing grocery and other orders.

Reports indicated that the disruptions may be linked to issues with Amazon Web Services (AWS). While Rapido and other services faced widespread complaints, Rapido later indicated that its technical outage had been resolved and service was gradually returning to normal.
