Uberlândia Procon moves to terminate contract with Natos over unpaid internships

Procon de Uberlândia has initiated an administrative process to unilaterally terminate its contract with the outsourcing company Natos. The move follows recurring delays in the payment of internship stipends to students, with some payments being delayed by up to 20 days since December.

Interns reported that the company communicated the termination of its activities this Tuesday. While the agency currently has 23 interns, some students claim approximately 30 have already been dismissed due to a lack of budgetary guarantees. To protect the students, the council has authorized future stipend payments to be made directly to them while the contract termination process proceeds.
