Ubisoft and Activision launch classic game remasters for modern consoles

Ubisoft released "Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced," a remake of the 2013 pirate‑themed title that updates graphics, brightens the Caribbean setting and removes the original’s unpopular present‑day missions. The overhaul blends modern combat mechanics with the classic gameplay while retaining the series' star, pirate Edward Kenway.

Activision issued native ports of "Call of Duty: Black Ops" and "Call of Duty: Black Ops II" for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The reissues keep the original graphics and gameplay intact, providing a way for new players to experience the 2010 and 2012 shooters without needing legacy hardware.
