Ubisoft and Capcom celebrate gaming milestones

Ubisoft is marking its 40th anniversary in 2026 with a new video titled ‘40 Years of Passion, Tech and Creativity at Play’. The production offers a behind-the-scenes look at game development, highlighting technologies such as motion capture, advanced character animation, and the simulation of complex environments like interactive oceans.

In a separate milestone, Street Fighter 2 celebrates its 35th anniversary. To commemorate the iconic fighting game, a collaboration between Capcom and My Play Watch has resulted in a touchscreen smartwatch that allows users to play the original arcade version of the game, complete with authentic animations, voice samples, and the original soundtrack.
