Ubisoft and Microsoft offer free AAA games on Xbox

Ubisoft and Microsoft are offering several AAA titles for free on Xbox through various promotional periods. As part of Ubisoft’s 40th anniversary campaign, Far Cry 6 will be available to play in its entirety during the Xbox Free Play Days from October 1 to October 5, 2026. This offer does not require a Game Pass subscription; players only need a compatible Xbox console and an account. Progress made during this period can be saved if the player chooses to purchase the game later.

In a separate window from September 24 to September 27, 2026, Xbox is making PGA TOUR 2K25 and Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 available to all Xbox users without a Game Pass subscription. Additionally, Game Pass subscribers will have access to The Escapists 2 and Young Suns. Ubisoft is also planning significant discounts of up to 90% across various digital storefronts, including the Ubisoft Store, Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store, PlayStation Store, and Nintendo eShop, throughout early October.
