Ubisoft announces Assassin’s Creed Valhalla New Game+ mode
Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will receive a New Game+ mode on November 5, 2026. This update arrives nearly six years after the game’s initial release and follows the title surpassing 40 million players.
The new mode allows players to restart Eivor’s saga while carrying over much of their existing progression. To ensure a balanced experience, Ubisoft is implementing dedicated scaling for repeat playthroughs. The update also introduces an optional progression system where gear, runes, and masteries contribute to the character’s overall power.
Additional content included in the update features a new resource called Mithril for upgrading Divine Gear and strengthening runes, a new stash system, new achievements, and a Master Assassin outfit inspired by the character Naoe from Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Ubisoft also teased upcoming updates for current-generation consoles and provided a brief status update on Codename Hexe, noting that its next major update is expected in 2027.
