Ubisoft reveals Rainbow Six Siege Operation Split Fire details
Ubisoft has revealed the details for Year 11 Season 3 of Rainbow Six Siege, titled ‘Operation Split Fire,’ during the Esports World Cup in Paris. The update is scheduled to launch on September 1, 2026, with a public test server becoming available on August 17.
The centerpiece of the update is a new Egyptian defender named Noor. Noor features the Horus Lance Launcher, a gadget designed to counter shield-based operators by piercing through walls, floors, ceilings, and ballistic shields to deploy flames on the target.
Significant balance changes are coming to several existing operators. Kali will receive improvements to her CSRX 300 rifle, including new magnification options (3.5x and 8x) and reduced pump time. Dokkaebi’s Jegeo Payload will now require a continuous connection, making it vulnerable to interruption by operators like Mute or Solis. Other adjustments include buffs to Lion, Echo, and Kapkan, alongside balancing for various weapons.
Additional content includes a new 3v3 Arcade mode, a ranked playlist reset, and a Villa map overhaul. Ubisoft also announced the ‘Wasteland Circuit,’ a drone racing event running from late September to mid-October.
