Ubisoft announces Rainbow Six Siege Operation Split Fire
Ubisoft has officially unveiled ‘Operation Split Fire’, the third season of Year 11 for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege. The announcement was made during the Esports World Cup.
The update introduces Noor, a new defensive operator from Egypt. Noor utilizes the ‘Horus Lance’ device, which allows her to exert pressure through destructible surfaces such as walls, floors, and ceilings to counter attackers using shields. Her arsenal includes the Commando-9 or Alda 5.56 assault rifles, and she can deploy barbed wire or a deployable obstacle.
In addition to the new operator, the season features significant balancing adjustments for several existing operators. Kali will receive updates to her CSRX 300, including new magnification options and improved magazine capacity. Dokkaebi’s Jegeo gadget will now require a continuous connection to complete an upload, making her more vulnerable to interference from operators like IQ, Mute, and Solis. Other adjustments affect Lion, Echo, Kapkan, and environmental damage values for traps.
Other content included in the update consists of map restructuring for Villa, a new 3v3 arcade mode, a new ranked playlist, and various limited-time events.
