Ubisoft confirms Beyond Good & Evil 2 development is still active

Ubisoft developer Rik Godwin, Lead Writer and Associate Narrative Director at Ubisoft Bordeaux, has confirmed that development on Beyond Good & Evil 2 is still active. Godwin stated on social media that he has been working on the project in a support and consultant role for several months, noting he had received permission to share this information.

This update comes after a long period of silence regarding the title, which was first announced in 2008 and re-introduced at E3 2017. Despite recent structural reorganizations at Ubisoft that led to the cancellation of other projects, Beyond Good & Evil 2 remains in development.

The game, led by Ubisoft Montpellier with support from Ubisoft Bordeaux, is described as a large-scale action-RPG set in the System 3 solar system. While the involvement of new narrative talent suggests continued investment, Ubisoft has not yet provided a release window or new gameplay footage.
