Ubisoft launches free trial for Assassin’s Creed Shadows and outlines Black Flag Resynced release

Ubisoft announced a limited‑time free trial of its Ubisoft Plus subscription from 18 June 15:00 UTC to 23 June 15:00 UTC. The promotion gives players on PC and Xbox Series X|S access to the newly released Assassin’s Creed Shadows, a game set in feudal Japan, together with other titles such as The Division 2, Anno 117 and Far Cry 6. PlayStation 5 users are not included in the trial.

A final update for Assassin’s Creed Shadows adds a free “Black Tides” chapter that connects the story to the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, slated for 9 July. Ubisoft confirmed the remake has reached gold status, will launch on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, and will feature roughly 50 trophies that can be earned offline. The company also released the full achievement list, noting that none are missable and that they are identical across Steam, Xbox and PlayStation.

These announcements highlight Ubisoft’s coordinated push for two major Assassin’s Creed titles, combining a promotional free‑play window with detailed release and post‑launch support information for the Black Flag remake.
