Ubisoft launches $500,000 real‑world treasure hunt for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced

Ubisoft, in partnership with puzzle‑hunt firm Unsolved Hunts, has announced a real‑world treasure hunt called “Gold & Crystal: The Lost Treasure of Edward Kenway.” The competition features 15 riddles that lead participants to the location of a hidden chest in the Caribbean Sea. The prize, valued at roughly $500,000 (about Rs 4.8 crore), contains gold coins and a crystal skull.

The hunt opens on 9 November 2026, with entry packs starting at $35 (≈ €35) and premium bundles up to $230 (≈ €199) that include physical collectibles. Ubisoft says solving the puzzles could take between two and five years. The promotion coincides with the release of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, scheduled for 9 July 2026, and is intended to generate long‑term buzz for the game.
