Ubisoft pledges new Assassin's Creed, Far Cry and Ghost Recon releases by March 2029
Ubisoft announced during its financial results that it will launch new entries in its three flagship franchises—Assassin's Creed, Far Cry and Ghost Recon—by the end of March 2029. The pipeline includes the witch‑themed Assassin's Creed Hexe slated for 2027, a fresh Far Cry installment (the series’ last main game appeared in 2021), and the first Ghost Recon mainline title since 2019.
The company highlighted strong early demand for its upcoming remake Black Flag Resynced, which is slated for release on 9 July 2026 and has posted exceptional pre‑order numbers, especially in China. Ubisoft also noted continued performance of its live‑service games such as Rainbow Six Siege, The Division 2, The Crew Motorfest and For Honor, while remaining silent on the long‑delayed Beyond Good and Evil 2 and a Splinter Cell remake.
Ubisoft has been navigating a turbulent period, cancelling seven projects, delaying six others and seeing roughly 1,200 employee departures, leaving a total workforce of 16,590 at the end of March 2026. The turnaround effort is supported by a €1.16 billion investment from Chinese conglomerate Tencent, providing liquidity for the company’s restructuring and growth plans.
