Ubisoft pushes Assassin's Creed Hexe launch to second half of 2027 amid staff changes
Ubisoft confirmed that the next installment of its Assassin's Creed series, titled Hexe, will not be released before the second half of 2027. The estimate aligns with earlier speculation that the game could be delayed to the holiday season of that year.
The development team has undergone significant turnover: creative director Clint Hocking left in February and was succeeded by veteran series contributor Jean Guesdon, while game director Benoît Richer also departed. Around 50 developers were removed from the project as part of an internal re‑organization. Despite the turmoil, Ubisoft says work continues and the title will feature a linear‑focused narrative with a female protagonist possessing supernatural abilities and a fear‑system mechanic reminiscent of the Jack the Ripper DLC from Assassin's Creed Syndicate.
