Ubisoft releases new trailer for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced with Woodkid’s reimagined sea shanty

Ubisoft posted a new trailer for the upcoming remake Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. The video features a fresh arrangement of the classic sea shanty “Leave Her Johnny” by French musician Woodkid, who described the series as “very important to me” and said the re‑interpretation “elevates the relentless pursuit of freedom” in the game.

The Woodkid version, described as dark and epic, will be heard both in the trailer and inside the game itself. The remake, rebuilt from the ground up, is slated for release on July 9 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC. Actor Matt Ryan, who voices Edward Kenway, called the project “totally rebuilt from the ground up and enriched with lots of new additions.”
