Ubisoft has confirmed that the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced remake will not be released for Nintendo’s Switch 2 console, countering circulating rumors. An alleged insider shared a packshot that sparked speculation about a handheld version, but the publisher maintains the port is not planned.

A German gaming podcast episode also reviewed the Resynced title, noting its July 2026 launch, upgraded graphics, and additional missions while confirming the absence of multiplayer or the series’ recurring Abstergo storyline. The discussion highlighted technical challenges of adapting the modernized engine to handheld hardware, reinforcing Ubisoft’s stance that a Switch version is unlikely.
