Ubisoft to release Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced remake in 2026

Ubisoft Singapore is rebuilding Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag as a full‑scale remake titled Black Flag Resynced, slated for release in 2026. The project revamps graphics, redesigns combat and stealth systems, adds new naval battle mechanics, a pet companion feature, and fresh shanties. Players will also gain a deeper observation mode, flexible crouch mechanics, and expanded recruitment of officers.

A recent leak suggests the game will launch with at least one paid DLC that adds medieval‑styled cosmetic skins, including a demonic knight version of the protagonist Edward Kenway. The source of the leak is an Italian‑based Twitter account, but Ubisoft has not confirmed the DLC officially.

The remake aims to address long‑standing frustrations, such as instant mission failure on detection, by allowing players to continue missions after being spotted. Overall, Black Flag Resynced promises a more fluid and cinematic experience while preserving the original’s pirate adventure setting.
