Ubisoft schedules July 9 2026 launch for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake
Ubisoft announced that the remake of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, titled “Black Flag Resynced,” will launch worldwide on 9 July 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Steam data shows the PC version will go live at 19:00 CET, while console times have not been confirmed. The game’s development is complete, and the release will feature the series’ latest Anvil engine, visual upgrades, a reworked combat system and additional missions.
Pre‑load options are already available: Xbox players can pre‑install the 64.13 GB download from 22 June 2026, with PlayStation users expected to begin pre‑loading on 7 July 2026, two days before launch. The PC download size is roughly 65 GB. Leaked images hint at possible post‑launch DLC, though their authenticity is uncertain.
The announcement marks a major event for the franchise’s fans, introducing a modern version of the 2013 pirate adventure while preserving its core storyline centered on Edward Kenway.
