Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced launches July 9, 2026 with upgraded graphics and broad platform support
Ubisoft announced that the remastered version of Assassin's Creed Black Flag, titled Black Flag Resynced, will be released worldwide on July 9, 2026. The remake rebuilds the 2013 pirate adventure using the Anvil Engine, adding real‑time ray‑traced lighting, dynamic weather and enhanced naval combat. New gameplay features include expanded combat combos, refined stealth, a "Dive Anywhere" underwater system and additional storyline content featuring historic figures such as Blackbeard and Stede Bonnet.
The game will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. On PS5 it will support the PS5 Pro’s PSSR 2 upscaling, while PC hardware requirements range from an Intel Core i7‑8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 with 16 GB RAM and a GTX 1660 (minimum) up to an RTX 3060 (recommended). Ubisoft also confirmed the title is "Verified" for the Steam Deck, ensuring proper controls and readable UI on the handheld. Development involved roughly 15 Ubisoft studios worldwide, led by Ubisoft Singapore and coordinated under the new Vantage Studios subsidiary. Marketing in Japan includes large street‑level billboards in Tokyo and Osaka ahead of launch.
