Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed: Codename Hexe slated for release in late 2027
Ubisoft’s next major entry in the Assassin's Creed series, codenamed "Codename Hexe," is expected to launch no earlier than the second half of 2027, according to well‑known insider NateTheHate. The insider clarified that the studio does not plan to rush a public announcement and that the earliest possible release window is the latter half of the year.
Development of the title has faced setbacks: the game director departed the project in April after the creative director had left a few months earlier. Despite these personnel changes, Ubisoft staff are reported to be "extremely hyped" about the upcoming game, which is expected to feature upgraded graphics, improved audio, and a return of the series' "Fear" system.
No official details have been released, and the June 2027 launch rumor has been dismissed in favor of the later timeframe.
