Ubisoft's Black Flag Remake Adds One‑Button HUD Toggle

Ubisoft announced that its upcoming remake, Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, will let players hide the entire HUD with a single button press, removing the need to access any menu. The feature is aimed at increasing immersion in the open‑world naval adventure and was demonstrated in a new gameplay clip.

The remake, slated for release on 9 July for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC, also includes other quality‑of‑life tweaks such as optional toggling of Edward Kenway’s hood. Fans have responded positively to the HUD removal option, noting that it reduces on‑screen clutter common in many Ubisoft titles.

The update reflects a broader industry trend toward giving players more control over on‑screen information, following examples from titles like Marvel’s Spider‑Man 2 and Red Dead Redemption 2.
