Ubisoft's The Division 2 announces Red Moon Unleashed update

The Division 2 is releasing Title Update Y8S3.2 on October 15, 2026, featuring the Red Moon Unleashed event. Running from October 15 to November 3, the event introduces heavy storms, a Blood Storm effect, and the Lunatic modifier, which grants enemies increased damage and rate of fire before they explode upon death.

Players logging in during the event will receive a free Bound Slasher Mask. The update also includes an updated token system for the Escalation game mode, a weapon balance pass for rifles, new Classified Assignments, and creator collaboration projects.

Additionally, the Red Horizon season's Week 8 Manhunt went live on October 13, 2026. This mission tasks Strategic Homeland Division (SHD) agents with eliminating a high-value target known as The Flensed. Objectives include completing Propaganda Broadcast activities and capturing the Haunted House control point in the Constitution Hall district.
