Ñuble companies advance energy efficiency and renewable projects
Forty-seven companies in the Ñuble region participated in a meeting organized by the Regional Productive Development Committee to advance projects focused on energy efficiency and non-conventional renewable energies (NCRE). These initiatives aim to integrate new technologies to improve productivity, reduce costs, and strengthen competitiveness.
The projects involve a public investment of $1.35 billion provided by the Regional Government of Ñuble through the FNDR. Corfo regional director Rodrigo Landa noted that the 'Activa Inversión' program helps companies modernize production processes and generate growth and employment opportunities. One participating company, Maderas Vásquez, expects solar energy integration to reduce electricity costs by more than 50%.
