Ñublefest 2026 to focus on whitewater sports in Chile

The 21st edition of Ñublefest is scheduled to take place from Friday, October 30, to Sunday, November 1, 2026, in the Ñuble region of Chile. Led by the non-profit organization Unidos por la Acción and funded by the Ñuble Regional Government, this year’s festival places a significant emphasis on whitewater sports and environmental conservation.

Key sporting events include kayak competitions on Saturday, October 31, and the traditional 'Gran Bajada por el Río Ñuble' on Sunday, November 1. The river descent will take participants through the mountain areas of San Fabián, passing through native forests and the La Punilla sector.

The festival's cultural programming begins on Friday with an official inauguration featuring a carnival in the streets of San Fabián, followed by circus performances and live music. Musical activities will continue on Saturday near the San Fabián-Coihueco Bridge and on Sunday in El Principal to coincide with the mass river descent.
