UBS and Deutsche Bank raise financial market and asset management forecasts
UBS Global Wealth Management has raised its year-end S&P 500 forecast to 8,100, up from a previous projection of 7,900. The Swiss firm also increased its mid-2027 target to 8,400. This optimistic outlook is driven by expectations of solid economic expansion, an accommodative Federal Reserve stance, and increased AI integration. UBS has also increased its earnings per share projections for the S&P 500 to $350 for 2026 and $400 for 2027, citing strong performance in the semiconductor, technology hardware, and energy sectors.
Separately, Deutsche Bank has increased its 12-month price target for St. James’s Place (LSE: STJ) to 2,050p from 2,000p. This target suggests a significant potential increase from the current trading level of 1,110p. The upward revision follows reports that St. James’s Place reached record funds under management of £240.8 billion by the end of June 2026, up from £220.0 billion at the end of 2025.
