UBTECH launches U1 ultra‑bionic humanoid robots for consumer market

Chinese robotics firm UBTECH held a Global Launch Event in Shenzhen, unveiling its consumer brand UWORLD and the full‑size U1 series of ultra‑bionic humanoid robots. The lineup includes the half‑body U1 Lite, the premium full‑body U1 Pro and the high‑dynamic U1 Ultra, each equipped with 88 high‑degree‑of‑freedom joints, Wi‑Fi connectivity and a battery life of two to four hours. The robots run the Resonance‑LM large language model for empathetic interaction and store all user data locally with end‑to‑end encryption.

Founder Zhou Jian outlined a three‑step human‑machine symbiosis roadmap: first replacing high‑risk, repetitive labour; then providing home companionship and care services; and finally achieving deep integration between humans and machines. UBTECH aims to scale production to 10,000 units annually by the end of 2026, building on its Walker S industrial series that entered mass production in 2025.
