No. 11 ranked UC Davis defeated Stetson 45-7 in their home opener at UC Davis Health Stadium. Zach Jones made school history by becoming the first player at UC Davis to return two punts for touchdowns, with returns of 79 and 61 yards.

Quarterback Treynor Cleeland recorded a career-high 331 passing yards and two touchdown passes, one to Edward Khutsishvili and another to Samuel Gbatu Jr., who finished with 172 receiving yards and a touchdown. Jordan Fisher also contributed a 6-yard rushing touchdown. The victory marks UC Davis’ 11th consecutive home opener win dating back to 2016.
