UCAB launches 30% tuition scholarship for returning Venezuelan migrants

The Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB) has opened a special scholarship program for Venezuelan migrants who have returned after living abroad for at least two years. The initiative provides a 30% reduction in undergraduate tuition fees for both new students and those re‑entering the university. More than 100 recent high‑school graduates have already expressed interest.

Applications are accepted until 3 July 2026, with a required knowledge test on 11 July 2026. The programme covers 19 undergraduate majors and five Technical Superior University tracks at UCAB’s campuses in Caracas and Guayana. Rector Arturo Peraza said the goal is to support reintegration and to make use of skills acquired abroad. Currently over 20 % of UCAB undergraduates receive some form of financial aid.
