UCAD and CAF Celebrate First Graduates of African Football Management Program
The University Cheikh Anta Diop of Dakar (UCAD) and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) marked the completion of the inaugural cohort of the Executive Sports Management Programme on 29 July 2026. Over six days, 56 hours of intensive training—combining online modules, face‑to‑face sessions and project presentations—was delivered to secretaries‑general of African football federations.
The programme, run by INSEPS‑UCAD, aims to strengthen leadership for the evolving African football industry. UCAD rector’s representative Prof Alioune Badara Kandji and vice‑rector Prof Maguette Sylla Niang highlighted the need for "governance founded on professionalism and ethics" and described football as "today an industry, a powerful lever of social cohesion and a tool of continental rayonnement". CAF delegate Abakar Muller praised the partnership, while UCAD’s cooperation director Ramatoulaye Diagne emphasized the joint effort of academics and sector professionals since the collaboration began in 2025.
