UCAM Murcia and Besiktas resolve David DeJulius contract dispute

UCAM Murcia and Besiktas have reached an agreement regarding the contractual status of American guard David DeJulius, resolving a two-month dispute over his rights.

Under the terms of the settlement, DeJulius will play for Besiktas on loan for the current season, with the Turkish club providing financial compensation to UCAM Murcia. The agreement ratifies DeJulius's existing contract with the Spanish club, ensuring that UCAM Murcia retains full ownership of the player.

DeJulius is scheduled to return to UCAM Murcia in the summer of 2027. Should Besiktas or any other club wish to sign him permanently at that time, they will be required to pay a predetermined buyout clause. The resolution follows a period of uncertainty where UCAM Murcia had contested the validity of his move to Besiktas, citing a contract that originally extended to 2028.
