UCHU Spice evaluates expanding food operations in Paraguay

The Ecuadorian company UCHU Spice is considering expanding its industrial food operations in Paraguay following a successful experimental chili pepper harvest in 2025. The project, developed in collaboration with AgroNorte, has already enabled the continuous export of chili paste to the United States via shipping containers.

Moving into a new expansion phase, the company is evaluating the installation of a plant utilizing Individual Quick Freezing (IQF) technology to preserve food characteristics. The planned initiative includes approximately 40 hectares of dedicated production for red peppers, cassava, sweet potatoes, and other crops intended for industrialization and export.
