UCI Gran Fondo Brazil to include individual time trial

The upcoming UCI Gran Fondo Brazil will feature an individual time trial, marking the first time a UCI Gran Fondo World Series event in Latin America includes this discipline. The 13.5 km flat course will take place in Timbó, Santa Catarina, on November 6, two days before the main Gran Fondo World Series Brazil event.

Directed by André Gohr, the competition is limited to 150 participants and serves as a qualifying event for the 2027 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships in France. The top three cyclists in each category, along with the top 25% of finishers, will receive automatic qualification. The race will start and end at the Jardim Botânico de Timbó on a closed road.
